Privacy Policy
Roomy is a native macOS application made by Azbouki. This Privacy Policy describes what information the Roomy application and its marketing website (getroomy.dev) handle, and what they do not.
1. What Roomy does locally
- Scans the filesystem locations You authorize (such as Your home folder, a custom path, or the entire Mac) to find regenerable artifact directories.
- Reports recoverable artifacts and project metadata, grouped by project root.
- Persists Your settings, exclusions, and a summary of Your last scan locally using
UserDefaultsand Application Support storage. - Deletes the files You select either to the system Trash or, if You enable it, permanently.
2. What Roomy does not do
- It does not require a Roomy account, sign-up, or login.
- It does not upload Your scan results, project contents, or filenames to a Roomy server.
- It does not send analytics, telemetry, or crash reports to Azbouki in v1.0.0.
- It does not contain in-app advertising or third-party trackers.
3. Marketing website
The Roomy marketing website is a static site hosted on Google Firebase Hosting. When You request a page, Your browser may share standard request information (IP address, user agent, referer, requested URL) with Google as the hosting provider. The Site also loads public web fonts from jsDelivr, which may receive similar request metadata.
Optional analytics. If You accept optional cookies on the Site, Azbouki uses Google Analytics 4 (enabled via our Firebase project) to understand aggregate traffic and usage — for example, page views, approximate geographic region derived from IP, browser and device type, and referrer. We do not use this data to identify You personally, and we configure analytics without advertising personalization signals. Analytics cookies are not placed unless You opt in via the cookie banner. Legal basis (EEA / UK). Hosting and font delivery are based on our legitimate interest in operating the Site. Analytics is based on Your consent, which You may withdraw at any time.
4. International transfers
Service providers such as Google may process Site data in the United States and other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) may apply as described in Google's documentation.
5. Your privacy rights
Depending on where You live, You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights regarding the Site, contact teodor@azbouki.com. You may also lodge a complaint with Your local data protection authority.
California residents. We do not sell personal information for money. When You consent to analytics cookies, usage data may be shared with Google as a service provider. For more information or to opt out of optional analytics on the Site, use the cookie banner or cookie preferences.
6. Crash logs and macOS
macOS may collect crash logs for installed applications and may offer to share them with Apple if You have opted in to Apple's diagnostics. Azbouki does not directly receive crash logs from Your Mac.
7. Support communications
If You contact teodor@azbouki.com, Azbouki will receive the contents of Your message and Your email address, and may store them for the purpose of providing support and improving Roomy. Please do not include sensitive personal data in support emails.
8. Children
Roomy is a developer-focused tool and is not directed to children under 13. Azbouki does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes
Azbouki may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
